Planned Parenthood celebrating Obama's victory

Madison, WI- Today, Planned Parenthood Advocates of Wisconsin’s (PPAWI) One Million Strong Campaign is celebrating the historic election of Barack Obama as the next president of the United States and the state legislative sweep of pro-women’s health candidates endorsed by PPAWI. This campaign was a national commitment from Planned Parenthood affiliates across the country to drive one million pro-choice, pro-women’s health voters to the polls on November 4th.

....

The election of Barack Obama, who has been a vocal supporter of women’s health and access to prevention-based health care over the extreme ticket of John McCain and Sarah Palin, reiterates that Americans overwhelmingly believe that they should be the ones making decisions about their reproductive health, not the government as the McCain/Palin ticket advocated.
